Biography

My name is Josh Dillaberry I am 34 years old, I have been working out since I was 12. I started wheelchair bodybuilding in 1994-1998, took time off and came back in 2004. I was born with cerebral palsy. I am able to walk and stand for short periods of time. But when I go to the grocery store or somewhere I will be on my feet for long periods I use my wheelchair.

When I was born in 1972 they told my parents I was going to be a vegetable and not going to be able to do anything. I was born with water on the brain, I have had about 25 different surgeries in my life hopefully no more. I really enjoy working out and competing in wheelchair bodybuilding it is in my blood. I got married in 1998 and we have one daughter that is now 6 going on 7. I hope to continue bodybuilding as long as I can, until I just do not want to do it anymore.

What happened? Why are you in the Wheelchair?
I was born with Cerebral Palsy and after have back surgery in 1990 I use a chair most if not all the time when I am out in public. But I walk limited at home ect.
Why did you get started?
Because a friend of mine that own the gym I trained at told me about it in 1994
What made you want to become a Wheelchair Bodybuilder?
I like to work out and thought it would be fun.
How did you go about doing it?
Again friends told me about it.
What motivates you?
God, and my family!
What is your training?
Varies day to day week to week. No specific workouts
Do you have any suggestions or tips for others?
Put God first, do all things for him and his satisfaction and not your own and remember trophies etc are temporary
